The game won't start

This can be caused by a range of factors. First of all, please make sure that your computer meets the system requirements of the game. You can verify this on the info page of the game you've downloaded. You can click here to open a list of all our downloadable games and find the game you've downloaded. Click on the 'System requirements' button on the info page to check if your computer can start the game.

 

To check your computer's System Information please follow the instructions for the Windows version below you currently have.

Windows Vista and Windows 7
1) Click the Start menu in the lower left corner of your home screen and choose 'Control Panel'.
2) Choose 'System and Security' and then click 'System'.
3) A screen containing your system information will pop up. You can check your Windows Edition, operating system and processor in this screen. Compare them to the system requirements shown on our game pages and you can check if your computer can start the game.

Windows 8, 8.1 and 10
1) Move your cursor to the right of the screen to open the Search-box and type in 'control panel'.
2) Click in the search results on 'Control Panel'.
3) Choose 'System and Security' and then click 'System'.
4) A screen containing your System Information will pop up. You can check your Windows Edition, Operating System and Processor in this screen. Compare them to the System Requirements shown on our game pages and you can check if your computer can start the game.

Try running the game in compatibility mode. This can only be done through the main Admin account.

Windows XP
1) Right-click on the game icon on your desktop and choose 'Properties'.
2) Go to the compatibility tab in the properties window.
3) Uncheck the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for 'Windows 95'.
4) Click OK
5) Right-click on the game icon on your desktop again and choose 'Run As'.
6) Mark the box 'the following user:' and select the administrator account.
7) Click OK.
8) Afterwards, try running the game again. A warning box might pop up in which you have to confirm by clicking 'allow' to grant the game permission to run.

Windows Vista
1) Right-click on the game from the desktop and choose 'Properties'.
2) Select the 'Compatibility' tab.
3) Check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)'.
4) Make sure you check the box 'run this as an administrator'.
5) Click 'Apply' then OK.
6) Start a game. You should now be able to play this game.

Windows 7/8
1) Right-click on the game from the desktop and choose 'Properties'.
2) Select the 'Compatibility' tab.
3) Check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)'.
4) Make sure you check the box 'run this as an administrator'.
5) Click 'Apply' and then OK.
6) Start a game. You should now be able to play this game.

Windows 10
1) Click the Windows Logo button at the bottom left hand side of your screen.
2) Click 'All Apps'.
3) Scroll down to the 'Zylom' folder.
4) Click on it and you should see the game. Click on the game with the right mouse button and then click 'Properties'.
5) Click the 'Compatibility' tab.
6) Under Compatibility mode set a tick in the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7'.


If your computer has the right requirements to play a game, but you are still unable to start the game, please choose one of the options below:
1. If the error occurs during installation, please go to this page.
2. When the error occurs after the installation of the game, please go to this page.
3. If you've updated your video card drivers but still nothing happens when you open the game, please go back to step 1 of the instructions for your Windows version.
